Map of Millennium Park

Welcome to Millennium Park! Located at the center of a cultural campus which encompasses the Art Institute of Chicago, the Harris Theater, the Chicago Cultural Center, and Maggie Daley Park, it is truly the heart of our city’s cultural scene.

In order for you to have the best concert-going experience possible here in Millennium Park, we want to share an etiquette and security guide with you. Please refer to our useful FAQ below or ask a volunteer about all your concert needs!

However you like! Whether formally or casually, what we want most is for you to be comfortable so that you can enjoy yourself.

If you are sitting in the Pritzker Pavilion seating area, you may be asked to wait until the piece is over before taking a seat, so that you do not disturb either the musicians or the audience. We recommend ensuring that you arrive early so that you can comfortably find a seat or a spot on the Great Lawn!

While you are free to use your cell phone before the concert and during intermission, please make sure to silence or turn off your phone during the concert so that you do not disturb the musicians or the audience.

Chicago Unites should last approximately two hours.

Definitely! For children six and above, we encourage it! We believe in the importance of introducing classical music to children. However, for children under six, we expect you to monitor their behavior so that they do not detract from the experience of other concert-goers.

The gates to the Great Lawn & the Jay Pritzker Pavilion seating area will open at 4:30 pm, and the concert will start at 6:30 pm.

Bags and coolers must be smaller than 26L x 15W x 15H.

Professional video, audio, and photography equipment and set up are not allowed except for previously approved media professionals.
