WELCOME TO OUR 2024-25 SEASON: PROPEL

This year's theme is PROPEL, depicting our vision to drive the symphonic industry forward
while redefining the classical music landscape. This season, discover how Chicago Sinfonietta
propels diverse musicians, composers, conductors, and audiences!

  • STUDENTS

From our in-school Making Music (elementary school) and Encore (high school) programs to the family-centric Intermission Interactive activies held at each concert, we're dedicated to inspiring the next generation to answer the call of music. Whether they're moved to pursue an instrument professionally, play as a hobby, or become a life-long arts patron, our work drives equity and builds community with students across Chicagoland.
  • MUSICIANS

As the most diverse union orchestra in the United States, we pride ourselves in growing the careers of every musician we touch. Our flagship program, the Freeman Fellowship generates countless opportunties for orchestra musicians, composers and conductors. Our fellows have gone on to become award-winning music directors for orchestras across the country.
  • PATRONS

At each concert performance, we redefine the makeup of classical music audiences. From across the city to the far suburbs, we connect with music fans of all genres and build community in the performing arts.
